I’ve been spending a lot of time for work in Madison, WI recently. Three months ago I’d never been, and now I’ve been 7 times. What a cool town it is, though. There’s definitely a bit of the college town vibe, but with a ton of foodie-approved restaurants, trendy cocktail bars, and beautiful sights like the capital at night 😍
Like Paris, New York City is one of those place that just gets even more beautiful in the rain.
Thankful for the opportunity to explore two new countries this year. Indonesia and Korea, I’ll be back.
One of the most mentally challenging things I’ve ever done was to climb the mountain in the background of this picture, Huayna Picchu. Between the altitude sickness and very literally facing my fear of heights head on, it definitely wasn’t the most fun thing I’ve ever done. But man, am I sure glad I pushed myself through it. So the next time something seems uncomfortable to you, even something that seems so little, make the conscious effort to try and push through it - you’ll surprise yourself with how strong you actually are.
I’m feeling particularly nostalgic for Spain today, Sevilla especially. This is the longest I’ve gone without returning for a visit, and my soul could really use a little of that Sevilla sunshine ☀️ What places are particularly special to you?
Next time you’re in Amsterdam, check out the Moco Museum. Located on Museumplein near the popular Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum, you won’t have quite the fight for lines at Moco and will still get a great cultural experience!
Though much more famous for its ☕️, Indonesia is one of the largest tea producers and exporters in the world. After trying nearly twenty different flavors while in Indonesia, it’s safe to say the cúrcuma, mangosteen, and lemongrass were my standout favorites! 🍃
Tacos and soft shell crab and french fries, oh my!
Dukbokki (tteokbokki) is such a special food. These tender rice cakes are cooked in a spicy gochujang sauce and then topped with sesame seeds. They’re so simple yet so flavorful (they pack quite a punch thanks to the gochujang), and luckily can be found pretty much everywhere in Seoul. For all things Seoul street food, check out my post! Link in bio.
